Dear Guild Member,

Welcome to Our Lady of Grace Women’s Guild!  Thank you for embarking on a new journey with us as we establish our non-profit organization.  Your support in launching our organization is priceless.  Our membership drive is now open and will continue through October 31, 2024. It is important to return your application during this time window to publish the directory by year’s end.

Our goal for this inaugural year is to build a vibrant membership and open our arms to members from surrounding parishes. With your support, the charitable projects will have a significant impact on many of God’s people in the city of Downey and the surrounding communities.

Some of our worthwhile charitable programs include the Scholarship program that serves 8th-grade students who desire to attend a Catholic High School. This program is open to 8th-grade students who have been accepted into a Catholic High School. Also, the students must live in the City of Downey,  or attend one of the surrounding Catholic schools ( eg. St. Raymond School in Downey, or  St. Dominic Savio in Bellflower) or are home educated. 

Community Grants applications are opened to ministry programs and community programs. The Guild is proud to fund charitable programs including Holiday Angels (food programs for families in need during the holidays)  and Christmas toy drives for  Children’s Miller and Women’s Hospital. Both programs serve the local community. 

Please prayerfully consider how you can become a member and Patron of Our Lady of Grace Women’s Guild.

~Memberships / Founding Members~

• Regular $30- This category is open to all women over 18 years old, and includes a one-year membership, monthly newsletter, the Guild Directory, and voting privileges.  When signing up during the open enrollment, the member will be designated as a “Founding Member” in the Directory.

• Friends of the Guild $25- This category was added to appeal to men and women who are supporters of the Guild.  Friends of the Guild receive the monthly newsletter but do not receive the Guild Directory.  The Guild Directory is available for a nominal fee. Friends of the Guild do not have voting privileges.  

~Patron ~

(includes membership)

For this inaugural year only,  members may become Patrons of the Guild.  A Patron is a donor who gives above the membership level.  Patrons are encouraged to consider supporting the Guild at one of these three levels: Bronze, Silver, and Gold.  Membership is included with your Patron donation.  Patrons will be acknowledged in a dedicated section of the Guild Directory and website.

Gold Patron: $301 & above ~Silver Patron: $201-300~

Bronze Patron: $175- $200

Complete the enclosed membership application. Submit the application and check in the enclosed return envelope. Checks are to be made payable to Our Lady of Grace Women’s Guild.

As we begin this new chapter of our guild, please consider joining one of our ministries. We would love for you to join our fellowship of women and men who make a difference in the lives of others. Renew your membership by October 31, 2024, to allow us to create the new Guild Directory with your contact information promptly.  Our goal is to mail the directory by mid-January 2025.
