Merciful and loving Father, we remember now in prayer our dearly departed. May they rest in peace with you and experience the eternal joy of heaven. As we renew our faith in your Son, whom you raised from the dead, Your power brings us to birth, Your providence guides our lives, and by Your command we return to dust. Lord, those who die still live in Your presence, their lives change but do not end. In company with Christ, who died and now lives, may they rejoice in Your kingdom, where all our tears are wiped away. Unite us together again in one family, to sing Your praise forever and ever. Heal our grief, merciful Lord, strengthen our hope that we, too, will one day share in the resurrection of your Son who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen
